This is the privacy policy for the Dockside iPhone app.
Dockside runs no server of its own. akn Systems Ltd operates no database of users, receives no copy of what anyone does in the app, and cannot see who has installed it. Everything below is either held on the device or sent directly from the device to a third party named here.

What the app asks for

Declining location leaves the app fully usable. The map opens on London and distances are not shown.
What is stored on your device

Your password is never stored. Your email address is never stored either. Once sign-in succeeds, the app holds the token and nothing else identifying you.
Signing out clears the token, the account ID, and the cached account details and journey history.
What leaves your device
Dockside sends data to two destinations. Neither is operated by akn.

These requests carry no account, no token, and no device identifier. They are not associated with you.
The cycle hire scheme operator
Only after you choose to sign in.

The operator is the controller of your cycle hire account. What it does with that account, and how long it keeps your journey history, is governed by its own privacy policy, not this one.
What is never collected

Dockside does not track you across apps or websites and asks for no permission to do so.
Links that leave the app
Settings and the hire screen can open the operator's website inside the app.

Once that website opens, the operator's privacy policy applies. Dockside does not read what you type into it and does not receive your card details.
Your rights
akn Systems Ltd holds no personal data about Dockside users, so there is nothing held by akn to request, correct, or erase.

Deleting the app removes the Keychain entry, the cached account details, the journey history, and the pinned and hidden docking stations from the device.
Children
Dockside is not directed at children. The cycle hire scheme sets its own minimum age, which the operator enforces on the account, not the app.
Changes
This page is the current policy. It carries no revision history. Where this page and the app disagree, the app is correct and the page will be corrected.
